After last year's successful inaugural event, we are pleased to announce the second International Doctoral Encounter on the Middle Ages and Philosophy (IDEMφ), supported by the University of Bonn, the University of Cologne, the University College of Dublin and, from this year, the Université libre de Bruxelles.
We organise this online 'encounter' for young researchers and PhD students in Medieval and Early Modern Philosophy once a year. This time, four early career scientists who are soon to obtain or have recently obtained their PhDs were invited to give a 'conference lecture' about their research. The event will again conclude with a round table discussion, this year with the participation of Professors Odile Gilon, Wouter Goris, Fiorella Retucci and Andreas Speer. The theme of the discussion will be: "What is the Philosophical Value of Medieval Philosophy?"
You are cordially invited to attend the second edition of IDEMφ on Wednesday 6 March from 3.15pm to 8pm CET.
Attached you will find the whole programme, which you are welcome to pass on to anyone who may be interested.
To receive the Zoom Link for participation, or for more information, please contact us via idemph@uni-bonn.de.
With best regards,
Álvaro Bo (UCD), Benjamin Van Bever (ULB), Giuseppe Thomas Vitale (Masaryk University), Marieke Berkers (Univ. of Bonn)
